The 1st September, 2010, saw implementation of the Brighter Futures Learning Partnership.
The Trust was formally launched on 2oth October, 2010, with an event at Dunsville Primary School. There were a lot of activities going on during the launch as the Trust welcomed pupils, teachers, governors from the Trust schools, representatives of the Trust partners and members of the local press. The guest of honour was Kevin Keegan.

The Trust is an educational partnership between the governing bodies of :
- Barnby Dun Primary School
- Canon Popham (Voluntary Aided) Church of England School
- Dunsville Primary School
- Hungerhill School
- Kirk Sandall Infant School and Sure Start Children’s Centre (The BEAK)
- Kirk Sandall Junior School
The schools, as members of the Trust, are working closely with the partners to the Trust on a wide variety of projects. The partners to the Trust are :
- Doncaster Local Authority
- John Leggott College, Scunthorpe
- Doncaster Rovers Football Club
- Doncaster Primary Care Trust
With members and partners collaborating on a range of activities, the Trust will be working towards its aims :
- to create school partnerships that will raise attainment in the local community and in doing so increase the life chances of all young people in the area served by our schools
- to build upon and extend the good practice that already exists amongst schools in our pyramid, as well as the Sure Start Childrens Centre (The BEAK) which is located at Kirk Sandall Infant School
- to provide a first class education for all young people in our local community
- to address barriers that hinder people learning
- to strengthen learning, particularly in science, mathematics and ICT.
By working towards these aims the Trust will be contributing to making this country the best place in the world for children and young people in the local community to grow up. This will be done by putting the needs of children, families and young people at the centre of everything the Trust does and providing excellent education and support for every child in the local community.
In the meantime, should you have any queries about the work of the Trust, please do not hesitate to write to the Chair of Governors at the appropriate school.
