Welcome
Hungerhill School opened in 1976 as a co-educational comprehensive for approximately 800 students. It is now a highly successful and popular school with an excellent reputation, both in the local community and the wider area. We are proud of the school and hope this prospectus will provide you with an introduction to the things that make Hungerhill such a special place.
Our core purpose is to help young people to cope with the difficult task of growing up in today’s society and to prepare them for adult lives in a rapidly changing world. It is important to us that all of our students are valued as unique individuals and are given every opportunity to fulfil their potential. We believe every person has talents and it is our job to help youngsters to discover and nurture these talents.
The pursuit of excellence is important for everyone at the school and we are totally committed to achieving the highest quality in whatever we do. Put simply, we expect the best and these high expectations lead to high standards, not only in academic performance but in all other areas of school life.
The success of Hungerhill School has been based on students, parents, governors and staff working together in partnership. We offer, to all those who join us, a learning partnership dedicated to achieving the best education possible.
I sincerely hope that you choose to join our school community.
