Your child will require an indoor and outdoor PE kit throughout the Autumn and Spring terms but will usually just require their indoor kit for the summer term as the weather is usually warm enough not to require the outdoor kit. Trainers will be required for every PE lesson and football boots will be required at certain times when they are doing football and rugby in the curriculum. Your child’s PE teacher will inform them of when boots are required.
*The optional school logo PE kit can be purchased from our nominated supplier. Please note: Prices are dependent on the size of the garment

All the above clothing is available to order from our nominated supplier.

What to do if your child is injured and unable to take a physical part in the PE lesson.

Firstly, please write a note in your child’s planner to explain the situation to their PE teacher. Your child will need to show this to their teacher on entering their PE lesson. Your child will still be involved in the PE lesson, but not in an active way, taking on roles such as a coach or official, or another leadership role. For this reason, they are still required to bring their PE kit with them, however, they may bring appropriate warmer clothing such as tracksuit bottoms, a sweatshirt or waterproof jacket. This is so that they can be appropriately included in the lesson and to keep their uniform protected, dry and clean, particularly important for outdoor lessons, of course. If your child has a significant injury and they are genuinely incapacitated (e.g. they are in pot) then please contact their PE teacher to discuss the best course of action.

As you can imagine, the PE changing rooms can be a place where uniform and PE kit can get muddled up between students. For this reason, please could we ask that all PE kit and uniform items are individually labelled with your child’s name. It is impossible to return items to their owners without this and it will easily resolve disputes between peers when they both think that a certain item belongs to them. We really appreciate this.

If you would like to purchase the PE kit that has the school logo on it you are able to do so from Schoolwear Solutions (Cliffs), of which a link is available on our website.  It is not compulsory to purchase PE kit with the school logo on as long as alternatives are the correct colour and the styles are appropriate for sports. Specifically, for boys, we do highly recommend the Rugby Shirt as this is a robust material that generally holds up to the demands of contact sports, such as Rugby, better than sweatshirts and football shirts.

Football boots will be needed for lessons at some point during the year.  The PE department will advise parents and students when they will be needed.

For further information about PE kit, PE lessons and the PE department, please visit the ‘PE Kit’ section on our website within the ‘Parents’ section.

If you need to replace an item of your everyday uniform or PE kit after you have started as Hungerhill, you can do so by visiting Cliffs in Doncaster town centre, or from Schoolwear Solutions website at www.schoolwearsolutions.com
