Inter-Form Competitions

Years 7 to 10 take part in a number of exciting inter-form competitions throughout the year. Form groups have the opportunity to compete against each other in events such as rounders, snooker, general knowledge quizzes, basketball, spelling bee, cross bar challenge, memory challenge and bake-off competitions. All students who participate are awarded a bonus credit but more importantly have the chance to work as a team, build relationships with their peers, raise money for charity and have plenty of fun in the process!

There is at least one main competition each half-term for students to take part in. In addition to this, form groups enjoy a weekly quiz during form time. Points are awarded to form groups for every event and added to an overall leaderboard. Each half-term a trophy is presented to the form group at the top of the leaderboard: this is a sought after award that both students and form tutors work hard to earn!

Year 7 Football Cross Bar Challenge

Year 7 competed in a football cross bar challenge competition.  A team of 5 students from each form had 3 minutes to hit the cross bar as many times as they could. The standard at the competition was very high and the students were competitive.  The winning form with a score of 19 was 7U.

Years 8 Table Tennis Tournament

Year 8 students competed in a double’s tournament recently. The fixtures were initially a round robin group stage before progressing to knockout fixtures. The atmosphere at the tournament was fantastic and the standard of table tennis played was exceptional.

Y7 Activity Mornings

Our year 7 students recently attended a team building morning with their new form groups and tutors. Students took part in physical and problem-solving challenges such as tower building, tug of war and blind-fold bean bag chase. The aim of the mornings was to provide students with a wealth of new experiences outside of the classroom, whilst also providing an opportunity to develop successful relationships with both their peers and new form tutors.
