Elated staff and students at Hungerhill School today celebrated months of hard work and preparation with another set of outstanding GCSE results.
Our new Year 7 students were invited to the annual Friendship Day in the Library, where they could meet up with old friends from primary school and make new friends too over games, juice and biscuits.
As part of our work as a National Teaching and Support School, school staff attended the Partners in Learning CPD training event at Sir Thomas Wharton Community College in Edlington. The day centred on improving literacy across the curriculum.
On 26th September, students were able to take part in activities centred on languages for our European Day of Languages. Students enjoyed a 'Find the Flag' activity and also took part in food tasting in the library.
Hungerhill School played host to the highly regarded speaker, Sir John Jones, who uses his experience as an educator to help develop individuals and organisations.
Hungerhill School hosted the Partners in Learning Pupil Premium Champion Launch event on 6th October.
Prospective students and their families were invited to Hungerhill for a tour on 6th October. Activities were on offer from various departments, including science experiments and DT Product Design activities.
Hungerhill School's 'Meet the Ancestors' WWI project has received national recognition.
Hungerhill undertook significant building and refurbishment works during the 2015-16 academic year, and over the summer holidays.
