We are delighted to share the wonderful success of our students in this year’s examinations. The 2025 results reflect the hard work, resilience and ambition of our students, alongside the dedication of staff and the support of families.
Some highlights from the Hungerhill GCSE results include:
- Overall Attainment of 48.55, above the national average.
- English and Maths saw excellent performances:
- 54.1% of students achieved Grade 5 or above in both English and Maths (well above last year’s national figure of 46%).
- 73.6% achieved a Grade 4 or above in both English and Maths.
- In English, 82.7% of students secured at least a Grade 4, with 67.3% achieving Grade 5 or higher.
- In Maths, 78% achieved Grade 4 or above, with over 55% reaching Grade 5 or above.
- Science continues to achieve results above national averages: 73% of our students achieved a standard pass rate and 55.3% a strong pass rate. Very pleasingly, students in our separate Science cohort achieved a grade 5 or above in all 3 sciences.
- In Languages, success was remarkable: over 91% achieved a standard pass, far exceeding national outcomes.
- Humanities also impressed, with 67.6% securing a standard pass.
- Students who study a vocational qualification have performed especially well, which is impressive given this is the second year of the new, more demanding specifications. In particular, Performing Arts and Sports Studies had an average grade of a Level 2 Merit, as did Art and Design Practice. Students studying the latter excelled with 13 distinctions, a very impressive performance!
