Trust Pledges

All schools within the Brighter Futures Learning Partnership Trust have carefully developed a comprehensive programme to ensure that every child has the opportunity to meet our Trust pledges. These pledges are designed to encourage students to embrace opportunities beyond the curriculum.

What Are Trust Pledges?

The Trust Pledges are a series of commitments, from both the Trust and Hungerhill School, to our students. These pledges have been thoughtfully co-created to support the holistic development of each student, aiming to enhance their knowledge, boost their confidence, and equip them with the essential skills they need to thrive and succeed.

What Are Trust Pledges?

How do the Pledges Work?

  • Each pledge achieved by a student is recorded in Class Charts. This not only celebrates their achievements but also awards them points.
  • All students have a Pledge Passport (shown below) which they can use to track their progress towards each pledge, record evidence and have pledges signed off by their tutors. Time is dedicated to updating students’ passports in form time every four weeks.
  • Students also receive a pledge badge for their accomplishments:
    • Bronze Badge for achieving four pledges
    • Silver Badge for achieving eight pledges
    • Gold Badge for achieving all eleven pledges

How do Students Present their Evidence?

  • Students can show their tutors evidence towards each pledge. If the student has achieved the pledge, tutors will record this on Class Charts and sign it off in their Pledge Passport.
  • The evidence should be from activities students have completed from September 2024 onwards, when the Pledges were launched.
  • Evidence could be any of the following, but it is fine for students to show us other forms of evidence they can think of: photos completing an activity; letter from parents/ sporting organisation/ event organiser/ club leader, certificate showcasing a relevant achievement, email from a teacher involved in observing/supervising the student carrying out an activity towards a pledge.
  • Below is a link to the Pledge Passport which gives ideas of activities that would contribute to achieving each pledge.
